“Expect a future-proof refractory partnership”: this is the message that RATH continues to send to the glass industry – also at Glassman Europe 2025 (May 14-15). Because no matter what challenges arise from decarbonization in the industry, and no matter how glass production technologies change, RATH is the partner who provides the right refractory materials, so that customers can confidently move into the future. At Glassman Europe in Istanbul the international refractories manufacturer will be presenting its future-proof refractory solutions: from solutions for the regenerator and the melting end to the new, advanced FOURATH®4 feeder expendables series, and innovative ceramic hot gas filter elements.
The internationally active Austrian refractories manufacturer attaches great importance to continuous research and development in order to be a reliable and strong partner for all types of high-quality glass production. One example of this is the Vibrorath K99 high-alumina and Vibrorath 420 zircon-mullite channel blocks, which enable efficient melt flows thanks to their smooth surface. These newly developed channel block qualities are made of premium materials and manufactured using the most precise technology. The RATH experts will be happy to provide information on these products at the RATH booth.
Longer service life with the new, advanced FOURATH®4 feeder expendables series
Also to be found at the RATH booth: The FOURATH®4 technology. Based on an optimized formulation that has been exclusively developed and produced by RATH, FOURATH®4 enables a longer service life, better glass quality and reduced costs. The new, advanced feeder expendables series includes spouts, spout covers, tubes, orifice rings and plungers. Customer feedback on the product performance of the FOURATH®4 series confirms its high level of efficiency and quality in glass production.
Ready for the future with ceramic hot gas filter elements
At Glassman Europe, RATH will be presenting its ceramic hot gas filter elements that help the glass industry to meet the highest emission protection requirements in industrial plants. For many years, the company has been developing innovative ceramic hot gas filter elements that make it possible to filter particle-laden industrial flue gases at temperatures up to 1000 °C and reduce emissions of nitrogen and sulfur oxides, as well as reduce the emission of fine particulates.
The early removal of dust from particulate-contaminated exhaust gases at high temperatures is an approach that makes sense, not only from an ecological, but also from an economic point of view. Using RATH ceramic filter elements results in a better energy balance, since the exhaust gas temperature does not need to be lowered and then raised again. Uneconomical cooling of exhaust gases just for the purpose of filtering them is no longer necessary, which also saves costs. Another decisive advantage is that the purified hot gas can be used for other applications, such as energy or hot water generation.
