The Glass Information Service Network of China is a nationwide social organization constituted by the glassmakers and their suppliers, as well as related scientific research, design, teaching and other organizations on a voluntary basis. It is headed by the Institute of Technical Information For Building Materials Industry of China. The following items are its main functions:
(1) Organizing and Carrying out technology development, technology and Information exchange, economic and information consultation Services, promoting the products development, technology advancement, and economic benefit increase in glass industry.
(2) Holding various technical markets, exhibitions, and technical training. Acting as an agent for international companies, organizations, and associations.
(3) Regularly compiling and circulating magazine "Architectural and Industrial Glass",a bimonthly periodical of GISNC.
(4) Building and managing web site of China Glass Industry.
