Enamel frits are the basic material for enamelling. At temperatures of around 1200 ºC a raw material mixture comprising of quartz, feldspar, sodium borate, sodium carbonate, potash, aluminium oxide, and adhesion-forming metal oxides is smelted.

Ensuring the quality of the enamel however begins long before the production process. High-quality products for top-quality surface finish can only be manufactured using carefully chosen and tested raw materials. Rotary furnaces ensure that the melted mass is homogenous and bubble-free, their output is permanently subjected to the strictest quality testing throughout the production process.
